Shell Clavus® Oils are highly refined naphthenic base petroleum oils intended 

for use in compression refrigeration systems containing non-hydroflurocarbon 

refrigerants such as R-12, R-22, R-502 and ammonia.

Shell AeroShell® Fluid 41

AeroShell® Fluid 41 is mineral oil based aircraft hydraulic 

oil with excellent low temperature characteristics that is 

capable of operating over a wide range of temperatures. 

This fluid is oxidation inhibited, and contains a special 

anti-wear additive. AeroShell Fluid 41 is dyed red for 

identification and leak detection purposes.

Shell Torcula® Oils

Shell Torcula® Oils are specially developed lubricants of high film-strength that 

provide improved lubrication of rock drills, jackhammers, sinkers and other air 

operated percussion tools. Torcula Oils are blended with an unusual combination 

of high film-strength, oiliness and anti-wear additives into high quality mineral 

oils. These products have consistently provided outstanding field performance. 

Torcula Oils atomize readily in air line lubricators to make an oil mist. This mist 

passes through the drill, lubricates the closely-fitted working parts and restricts 

the build-up of frictional heat. A protective oil film helps prevent metal parts 

from rust caused by moisture-laden air.

Shell IRUS™ Fluid D 46
Irus® Fluids D 46 and 68 are fully synthetic ester type hydraulic fluids. They do

not contain mineral oil, phosphate esters, chlorinated hydrocarbons or water. 

They are designed to be chemically stable when operating conditions are such 

that severe physical demands are placed on the fluid.

AeroShell® Grease 33
AeroShell® Grease 33 is a multipurpose airframe grease specifically developed

 for Boeing to be used in roller bearings, actuator screws and other airframe 

equipment. It is made with synthetic base oil and a Lithium Complex thickener, 

which provides enhanced corrosion resistance and load-carrying capacity.

It has a useful temperature range of -100° F ( 73° C) to +250° F (+121° C). 

AeroShell Grease 33 is qualified under MIL-PRF-23827C and Boeing 

Specification BMS 3-33A.
